What sets this inn apart is the hospitality of the innkeeper, Sarah, along with her four-legged companion, Gus. You’ll often find guests lingering in the inn’s kitchen chatting after breakfast -many times about Sarah’s connections to the neighborhood and the best places to see and dine in Ann Arbor. You’ll always find locally sourced ingredients in her fare, including fresh milled oatmeal from the Gainery, local dairy from Calder’s Dairy, fresh baked delights from Crust Bakery, and cinnamon rolls from Zingermans. Each breakfast includes a main course and fresh fruit that often includes a granola parfait and sometimes celebratory smoked lox and bagels on Sundays. Sarah’s Inn was recommended in an article in Rachel Ray magazine that featured the famous Zingerman’s Bakery, which, in turn, recommended Burnt Toast Inn as a great place to stay in Ann Arbor. After all, we hear Sarah loves purchasing their famous cinnamon rolls for her guests.
The inn has an artsy Ann Arbor vibe! Each of the five guest rooms has been thoughtfully curated with the family’s treasures. Guests frequently gather in the kitchen to chat with Sarah or to relax in the inviting parlor or on the porch.
